In its 5th year, Penarth Open Studio Trail welcomes the public to another exhibition that packs a diverse range of art into one weekend. Glass By Designs’ Cathy and Angelina along with 27 local artists welcome you to explore and interact with Penarth’s thriving art scene. Starting on Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June, the trail exhibits both professional and amateur artists over 16 different venues showcasing a range of art.

With the demonstrations in wet felt making, glass cutting, watercolour and acrylic painting, crochet and jewellery making, (to name a few) available for all ages, it’s a great weekend of events or day out for families and people of all ages to interact, get involved and see.

Boasting over 16 venues this year including Turner House Gallery, Glass By Design, Artisans’ Corner, as well as home studios of the artists themselves, it’s a great way to explore bits of Penarth you may not have seen before. With a handy little map and descriptions of artists and exhibitions taking place, you can choose your favourite types of art to see or explore.

The free event is open to everyone and has been carefully organised to suit everyone’s interests and tastes. In addition, a strong community message really embraces all kinds of artists from the local area. Great for those who love to support local projects and get involved with their community, but also great for those who want to exhibit their work. Glass by Design are always looking to make the Open Studio Trail bigger each year, so if you’re interested get in touch by emailing sales@glassbydesign.co.uk.

We look forward to seeing you there!
