Local Woman Becomes Most Successful Female Sailor After Winning Gold In Tokyo Olympics
A local woman has made Olympic history after winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics, making her the most successful female sailor.
Hannah Mills, from Dinas Powys, raced alongside Eilidh McIntyre as they placed fifth in the medal race.
Previous race finishes meant they were able to claim their title as they managed to hold off Poland and France, who claimed silver and bronze.
Their win now means that Team GB have five sailing medals for Tokyo 2020, with three being gold.
In previous years, Hannah claimed victory after winning gold in the Rio Olympics as well as silver in London.
