Staying in is officially the new going out and Penarth’s independent bookshop, Griffin Books, has the perfect literary line-up to get you through this second lockdown period. Their programme of online events will continue throughout autumn with something on offer for all tastes and interests.
First to step into their virtual bookshop this month is the master of psychological suspense, Nicci French. Beautifully written, clever, shocking, twisty and utterly compelling, House of Correction is the brilliant new novel from the author of last year’s sensational stand-alone thriller, The Lying Room.
Nicci French is the pseudonym for the writing partnership of journalists Nicci Gerrard and Sean French. The couple, who are married and live in London, have co-written twenty-one bestselling novels including Frieda Klein series and their 2019 thriller, The Lying Room, which author Sophie Hannah described as ‘brilliantly clued’. They have sold in excess of 15 million copies of their novels worldwide.
Nicci and Sean will be speaking to Griffin Books owner, Mel Griffin, on Wednesday 7 October at 8:00pm via Zoom. Tickets for this unmissable online event start from just £5 per household. For a full event schedule and to book tickets, visit: www.ticketsource.co.uk/griffinbooks or contact the shop on firstname.lastname@example.org / 029 2070 6455.
