Indoor Easter Activities for Kids

Katherine PeachFeatured, Kids

We may not be able to do things we did in previous years, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun this Easter! Here at Penarth View, we listed a few super fun Easter activities and games for you to try at home.

Colourful Easter Eggs

It’s time to dig out those art supplies. This Easter, try dyeing your eggs! It’s super easy and gives you some really cool results. All you need to do is boil the egg with one teaspoon of vinegar and some food colouring. If you’re feeling adventurous, try making some cool patterns!

Indoor Easter Egg Hunt

This can be especially fun for younger children, but is something everyone can get involved with. Hide eggs throughout the home and let them run around with baskets. See who can collect the most. It’s better to hide chocolate or treat-filled ones. You wont want to be finding real eggs a month from now!

Water Balloon “egg” Fight

Ever noticed that water balloons look a little like squishy Easter eggs. Embrace the spring weather, head out into the garden and have a water “egg” balloon fight. Why not try splitting into teams? Winning team gets a real Easter egg!

Egg and Spoon Race

Nothing Beats the classics. As egg and spoon race is the perfect Easter activity for in the house or garden. You can make it more challenging by adding obstacle or time limits!

Pin the Tail on the Rabbit

This iconic party game is the perfect Easter activity. Put up a picture of the Easter bunny, put a blindfold on and try to give him back his tail. This is a fun game for children and adults. Who will get the closest?

Rice Krispie Bird Nests

This delicious treat is super fun and easy to make. All you need to do is add melted chocolate, butter and golden syrup into a bowl. Then mix in the rice krispies (cornflakes also work too) and press the mixture into cupcake cases. Once they’ve chilled in the fridge for an hour (or until they’ve hardened), you can add your mini Easter eggs.

We hope you have a fun, safe, Easter this year! If you try out any of these activities, let us know on social media!
