Griffin Books is taking part in this year’s Independent Bookshop Week- Events Calendar

Independent Bookshop Week is 19 – 26 June, and is a week run by The Bookseller & Books Are My Bag to celebrate all things Independent Bookshop! Shops around the country will be holding online & in-store events and activities, and it’s generally just a really great week for the Indie Bookshop Community.
Griffin Books will be hosting exciting events all week for you to get involved in!
Children’s Storytime with Peter Bently & Claire Powell

Join Griffin Books for a fantastic morning with Peter Bently and Claire Powell, author and illustrator of The King’s Birthday Suit. This funny timely retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fable ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ will not only make children laugh, but also encourage them to think and speak up for what they believe.
This event will include a story-reading with Peter, and then a draw-along session with Claire, as she tells you all about how she came up with all the great pictures in the book. Make sure you bring your paper and pens so you can join in with Claire to create your own version of King Albert-Horatio-Otto the Third!
