We may have missed #WorldGinDay but that didn’t stop us from celebrating Grounds for Good’s delicious new creation, London Dry Gin! This coffee based, yet caffeine-free gin is their latest product that you just have to try! All proceeds got to The Wallich homeless charity.
After being furloughed last year, Peter Skoczylas started selling coffee from his bike. Stol Coffee is a one-man business aiming to bring the community of Penarth coffee and cookies, which has already been a huge success. Seeing people come out of hard times with great new businesses is great and he has become a meaningful part of the Penarth community
Cardiff Life Awards 2021 has announced this years finalists, with businesses in Penarth making the list. The Crepe Escape has been selected in the ‘Cafe’ Category; Capello Barbers in ‘Hair and Beauty’; Hamptons in ‘Retailer’; Penarth Physiotherapy Practice and Pilates Studio in ‘Health and Wellbeing and Westbourne School in ‘Education’ and ‘Technology Innovation’. They should all be very proud.

In May, Keyif celebrated 3 years in business. Keyif embraced this new normal, morphing into a takeaway service instead of their usual sit-down style dining. Keyif continued to provide a service for all his loyal customers throughout lockdown. And we’re excited to see him opening up again.
Earlier this year, Penarth launched an independent new virtual marketplace called ShopAppy. This new initiative gives shoppers the opportunity to buy from their favourite local traders online in one place. There are 56 independent businesses signed up to ShopAppy Penarth already, with more set to join in the coming months.
Peterson Tea Estate in the Vale of Glamorgan is a world-renowned tea vendor. In 2013, Lucy George made the decision to start growing tea and since then her Welsh Black and Welsh Green teas have achieved two star gold at the Great Taste Awards in 2020. Lucy prides on her tea being Welsh born and bred.
Windsor Lawn Tennis Club is now officially Wales’ first Padel Tennis Court. Padel is a racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash and is growing fast in popularity.
