Three Penarth women are still raising money for charity

3 local women, Julie Johnson, Charlotte Court and Julia Bakshi, were due to do the Walk The Walk challenge in London this Saturday, 16 May, but which has understandably been postponed. Trained, ready and able to do this they have decided to walk the same distance in Cardiff – 26.2 miles – on Sunday 17, May. With a 5am start, they’ve called it the Sunrise Walk.

The three are hoping to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care, who are the charity partner of the offician Walk The Walk challenge. On this occasion the ladies are also collecting funds for City Hospice and are raising funds to feed NHS staff at University Hospital Llandough. Both Breast Cancer Care and City Hospice are suffering, due to the lack of the ability to fundraise with so many events being cancelled.

The walk will be live on Facebook so please make sure you support them on the day.

Money raised from ticket sales for their upcoming Pixie Perez and Gangsters & Molls event nights is being kept safe, whilst they are able to hold those events in the future. Money from a clothes sale has already been donated to charity.
