A local florist has helped scoop up the bronze award at the Chelsea Flower Show this week. Toni Horne, who owns The Lily Pad Florist, joined Tracy Rowbottom and Emily Dunn in making the impressive achievement.

The display, which featured under the category ‘Beauty Of Nature’, included lots of chrome spheres, creating a reflection which allowed you to be a part of the exhibit.

Talking about what winning the medal means to her, Tracey said: “It gives me the opportunity to express myself to do my own design, and the medal is a bonus. It’s always brilliant to get a reward, it makes you feel like you’re doing the right thing.”

“The medal is important, but the whole experience of coming to Chelsea and being able to showcase your ideas is just as valuable.”

Speaking about what the achievement means for her business, Tracy Rowbottom Design in Bristol, she added: “It makes a huge difference to the business because there’s lots of things we do in the industry that other industry professionals recognise but the public don’t.”

RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which was hosted for the first time ever in September due to the pandemic, is the world’s greatest flower show. Usually held across a 5 day span during May, the event is run by the Royal Horticultural Society in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London.
