He is currently running the circumference of Wales, approximately 1050 miles and hopes to achieve this in around 40 days (pretty much a marathon a day!) He will be running via the coastline and offa’s dyke.

Simon started his challenge from the RNLI lifeboat station on Saturday 14th, waved off by thousands of visitors outside the Penarth RNLI centre just prior to the kickoff of the Penarth downhill derby.

He was inspired to join the RNLI and take on the challenge after the RNLI rescued a close family member from the sea. The RNLI is entirely dependent on donations to fund its equipment and training. Simon, a HGV driver, is self-funding his entire trip.
