Local woman becomes Miss Wales 2022 Finalist

An 18-year-old local woman has become a finalist in Miss Wales 2022. Anna Mears, from Dinas Powys, is currently a triathlete and sport enthusiast, having qualified to represent Britain in Canada in 2022- an event that was cancelled due to the pandemic. 

Anna also volunteers for Age Cymru, a charity dedicated to help avoid loneliness within the older generation by talking with them, as well as studying her A-Levels at St Cyres School. 

The event is expected to take place in the Riverfront Theatre in Newport and the Holland House Hotel in Cardiff. 

What is Miss Wales?

‘Miss Wales is a confidence-building experience couples with the fun and glamour of pageantry.’
