A local restaurant has been shortlisted for another prestigious award, having already scooped up two awards since opening in 2018.

Turkish restaurant Keyif, which can be found on Glebe Street in Penarth, has once again proven their success after reaching the semi-finals of the 2021 Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.

The news is said to have shocked owner Mehmet Yildaz, after is was revealed a customer nominated the independent business. 

14 other businesses have also made the list in the category ‘Best Turkish Restaurant in Wales’.

Since the opening of the restaurant in 2018, Keyif have held the title ‘Co-op Good Food Award Winner’ for two consecutive years, have reached the finals of the SMW National Business Awards in 2019 and the Cardiff Life Awards at the beginning of this year. 

The winner of this years ‘Best Turkish Restaurant in Wales’ is expected to be announced at an in-person even with up to 400 guests.
