A new pet service is coming to Penarth, offering a wide range of treatments that your canines will be sure to love. 

Fiona Bishop, who owns Heads ’n’ Tails, has made the decision to expand her business into the town after having already proven popular amongst the community. She said: “I have worked as a dog groomer for 8 years and find it such a rewarding job, i find it so rewarding to see the transformation and I love to try and give as much information to clients to help with home grooming.” 

“I already have lots of clients that travel to me from Penarth and the Vale so it made sense to expand into an area that needs it, and the opportunity was there for me to open a shop and relocate here.” 

Situated at 9 Victoria Road, you’ll be able to pamper your pooch from the 1st December,  with services ranging from dog grooming to ultrasonic teeth cleaning. Fiona added: “I have always loved working with animals and being able to be my own boss in a job that  I love is extremely rewarding.”

Keeping a dog groomed is essential, and not just for the look benefit. Not only providing many health benefits which may not be obvious immediately, brushing your dog ventilates their coat which in turn helps it to grow healthy and strong, helps keep the level of grease in their coat down and ensures that your dog’s skin can breathe. 

Fiona’s passion for animals doesn’t come without its challenges, she said: “The biggest challenge would be gaining the trust of the dogs that haven’t had much or any grooming experience. I also try to educate customers and give as many tips for home grooming and coat maintenance to help the dogs grooming journey be an enjoyable one.”
