The Story Of European Art: An Introduction to Art History

Full 10 week course:  £145.00  | £115.00 (students)

A relaxed ten-week class exploring painting, sculpture, architecture, and their contexts from the Middle Ages to the modern day. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to ‘read’ a painting, understand architecture, or appreciate sculpture then this course could be for you. Featuring famous names and lesser-known gems, by the end of this course you will know your Rubens from your Rothko, Manet from Monet, and Giotto from Gainsborough.

Led by experienced Art Historian Morgan Haigh, MA, of The Courtauld Institute of Art, London. For several years Haigh was a guide at Cardiff Castle, and has led tours at the National Gallery, Tate Britain, National Gallery of Art Washington DC, and the V&A. He recently appeared on the BBC’s ‘University Challenge’.
