Speakeasy Club is delighted to partner with Welsh Athletics, RunWales & the Old Penarthians Rugby Club to welcome the only person to run a marathon in every country in the world, Nick Butter, to the Clubhouse on Friday 26th August 2022.

Speakeasy Club presents… No limits series with Rhys & Scott Jenkins

The Penarth brothers, who widely credit their ultra endurance running exploits to a prominent member of Speakeasy Club, will take us through that first race at the 2008 Llanelli half marathon to running across America.

Together, their journeys began with a remarkable 2000mile run across the USA from Boston to Austin. Following that they’ve taken on remarkable challenges in the last 10 years, raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process.

From setting a fastest known time around the Wales coastal path, completing the MOAB 240, completing the JOGLE and the bad water 135 in Death Valley, Rhys & Scott are simply remarkable people.

Both are supported and inspired by their wives – Abby & Cerys. We will hear stories about their incredible achievements, what motivates them and we’ll hear about what makes family such an important part of what they do.

As part of your ticket price you will have the opportunity to join a run with the Jenkins brothers themselves on the evening of the 26th. It will be a 5km run around Cosmeston Lakes, led by qualified Welsh Athletics run leaders. The run is NOT compulsory by any means, but It’s a unique opportunity to join Rhys & Scott doing something we all enjoy so much.

We will also be raising money on the night for a charities close to Rhys & Scotts hearts.
