Speakeasy Club is delighted to partner with Tennis Wales, and welcome one of British sports’ most distinctive and trusted voices, Jonathan Overend to the Clubhouse on Tuesday 23rd August 2022.

Jonathan has commentated for BBC TV at Wimbledon, Roland Garros, Australian Open and the Davis Cup Final, also providing World Feed services for the ITF.

He spent 10 years as tennis correspondent for the BBC but for much longer have been a football reporter and producer, outside broadcast presenter, commentator and studio host.

On 5 Live, he believes may be the only person to have presented all the major sport programmes including 5 Live Sport, Sports Report, Sportsweek, Olympic Games and FIFA World Cups. Quite the impressive resume!

Hosted by Speakeasy Club in partnership with Tennis Wales, Jonathan will reminisce on some tales from his career on and off the mic. We’re excited to hear more from him about going live from a crane, a canoe and a cupboard. As well as interviewing Federer in a lift, Fergie in a store room and Schumacher in a runaway cab!

This will be followed by an informal interview and a Q&A from the floor.
