Road to Radio – How to create a radio show

This summer Bro Radio is offering a series of three-week courses in radio broadcasting aimed at 12 – 18 year olds, as part of the Welsh Government Summer of Fun programme.

Over three sessions, you’ll be introduced to the world of radio, discover how a radio station operates, how to use a radio studio, what goes into creating a radio programme and learn how to present a programme, which you’ll record in our industry standard studios and take home a copy to share with your friends and family.

The course is free to young people aged 12 – 18, who live in the Vale of Glamorgan, with two sessions taking place at YMCA Barry and two sessions taking place at CF61 in Llantwit Major.

Thise Course will take place at CF61 Community Centre, Llantwit Major between the hours of 10am & 2pm, on three consecutive Tuesday’s from Tuesday 26th July, Tuesday 2nd August and Tuesday 9th August.

During each session there will be a 1/2 hour lunch break, which will not be provided. All participants should bring their own drinks, snacks and lunches. Local shops are within walking distance, with a water refill location on site.
