Open Art Exhibition – Last date for entries
Penarth Open Art is an exhibition of artwork selected from submissions by predominantly, but not exclusively, local artists.
We are inviting artists to submit work to be considered for inclusion in the 2020 exhibition which will run from 10th January until 23rd February 2020.
Artists can submit up to three pieces to be considered. There is a £10 admin fee for each piece of work entered (so three entries will cost £30). Please note, submission does not guarantee display within the exhibition.
There is no specific theme for this exhibition and no preference for any specific medium. 2D works must be no larger than 200cm in any dimension. 3D works must be no larger than 200cm at their largest diameter.
The deadline for submissions is the 30th November 2019 and the selection process will take place between 2nd December and 8th December 2019, after which we will inform artists of the decision of the selectors and arrange delivery.
One artist will be chosen by the panel to receive the Pavilion POAE Award for exceptional work and the winner will be offered a solo exhibition to be held in 2020/21 (specific date to be arranged).

1st September – 30th November: Open to entries
2nd December – 8th December: Selection process
9th December – 13th December: Artists contacted and confirmation of works
14th December 6th January: Delivery of works to Penarth Pier Pavilion
6th January – 10th January: Install of works (carried out by PACL)
10h January: Launch of Exhibition: 6-9pm
10th January – 23rd February: POAE 2020 Exhibition
