Annie Dressner was born and raised in New York City where she recorded the first of three acclaimed albums. Annie’s heartfelt, confessional writing style and honest vocal delivery have won her supporters at BBC Radio 2 and 6Music and secured numerous festival appearances.

David Ford is an award-winning songwriter and has been hailed by The Guardian and The Sunday Times as one of Britain’s finest live performers.

In January 2022 Annie and David met and played music together for the first time. At a couple of live shows in the north of England, they became firm friends and found a common love for bagels, sweet harmony and brutally emotive songwriting. Three weeks later they had written, recorded, mixed and mastered a collection of new songs. They decided to call the record “48 Hours with David Ford & Annie Dressner”, named in honour of the series of two-day creative bursts that shaped the project. 48 hours to write the songs, 48 hours to rehearse and record, 48 hours to mix and master. Annie and David were so happy with the record and the effortless blend of their voices and musical sensibilities, that they decided to turn this new collaboration into a live event.

They soon agreed that the subsequent tour should be something different to the usual track beaten by troubadours around the motorways and major cities of Britain. Drawn to the atmosphere and intimacy of small theatres and the romance of seaside towns, David Ford and Annie Dressner present a unique evening of song.
