Children’s Writing Workshop with bestselling author Jenny Pearson- Independent Bookshop Week

Join us for an exciting hour with Jenny Pearson, author of The Incredible Record Smashers and The Super Miraculous Journey of Freddie Yates.

Lucy is a fixer of broken things. But there’s one thing she can’t fix and that’s her u happy mum. Until she comes up with an INCREDIBLE plan. Along with her best friend, Sandesh, Lucy is going to SMASH a world record. Because she’s convinced that starry Paul Castellini- Record Smashers TV host and singing legend- is the answer to her mum’s problems. But breaking a world RECORD when watermelons, kumquats, two baddies and a 30cm shatter-resident school ruler are involved isn’t quite as easy as Lucy thought. Can she learn that sometimes happiness doesn’t come with a plan?

When she is not busy being inspirational in the classroom, Jenny would like nothing more than to relax with her two young boys, but she can’t as they view her as some sort of climbing frame. In her free time, if she isn’t writing, she can be found doing something sporty.

This event will include lots of fun activities and advice from Jenny about how to be a writer! Make sure to bring your best writing pens, you’re sure to be inspired.

The event is aimed at children ages 8-12.

This workshop is part of our wider Independent Bookshop Week celebrations. Places will be limited to ensure the best experience for those attending.
