Cardiff Open Air Theatre Festival

Cardiff’s premier theatre event set in the beautiful surroundings of Sophia Gardens in the heart of the city centre.

The Open Air Theatre Festival offers a theatrical event to suit everyone’s needs, a musical, comedy play, Shakespeare production and a child-friendly Family musical show.

This year’s festival includes the Shakespearean classic ‘Merchant of Venice’, the nations favourite comedy ‘Dad’s Army’ and the celebrated and much loved musical ‘Fiddler on the Roof’. Go Theatre will also be staging the whacky adventures of Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favourite Dr. Seuss characters in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.
