Lata Mangeshkar was and will forever be the legend known at the Nightingale of India. Her passing earlier this year at the age of 92 marked an end to a musical career that spanned seven decades. She recorded thousands of songs, primarily in Bollywood but also other languages and genres. Her accolades are difficult to list as there are too many!

This concert will be Atreyee’s humble tribute to this legend. She will be joined by the 515 Crew, the UK’s leading Bollywood music band and supported by the one and only Chirag Rao. It will be Atreyee’s first full post pandemic concert following her successful concerts in 2019 and 2019.

Atreyee is a versatile vocalist who sings many genres of Indian music including old world and modern Hindi and Bengali songs, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazruel Geeti, Ghazals and Bhajans. She is a classically trained singer who trained for over 20 years from the likes of Vidushi Mandira Lahiri and Shri Jatileshwar Mukherjee. She won and was awarded the ‘Golden Voice’ of the Harrow Music Festival in 2016 after singing on stage with Indian national award winning singer Rupankar Bagchi. She also sang with Saikat Mitra in 2019 in Cardiff. She had her two successful signature concerts in 2018 and 2019 in Cardiff. She had several digital concerts during the pandemic and was recently awarded a certificate of appreciation by ‘We are Wales’ in recognition of her contribution to music and the arts.
