Astrid the Street Organ: 10 World Premieres

n celebration of VOGF’s 50th anniversary, we have commissioned ten composers (eight of them from Wales) to write short pieces for Street Organ. The new works will be premiered at Wales Millennium Centre, before touring to St Fagans National Museum of History, Barry Island, Penarth Pier, Aberystwyth and Bangor.

We are excited that this project will create a platform to celebrate established, multi award-winning composers alongside exciting younger talents. Each composer has been selected for their shared ability to voice something truly unique through their music.

Join us for this concert of 10 world premieres written for Astrid the Dutch Street Organ by:

Charlie Barber, Mark David Boden, Graham Fitkin, Gareth Glyn, Lynne Plowman, Steph Power, Guto Pryderi Puw, Claire Victoria Roberts, David Roche & Ben Wallace.

This performance is free and unticketed – turn up and see how many composers you can spot in the crowd!
