You don’t have to drink alcohol to enjoy a tasty winter cocktail. We’ve collected a few easy festive mocktails for you to make this Christmas. Enjoy!

Mulled Wine

A wonderful Christmas classic, which is guaranteed to fill your house with festive smells.

Ingredients

  • 500ml pomegranate juice
  • 25g golden caster sugar
  • Handful of frozen blackberries
  • 250ml apple juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 4 cloves
  • 3 black peppercorns
  • 1 orange (quartered)

(1) Put all the ingredients into a saucepan and heat gently until simmering.

(2) Give it a taste test before straining into heatproof glasses.

Spiced Apple Syrup

A tasty treat to add to our non-alcoholic cocktail list. The smell of this cocktail is one of my favourites! Not to mention it tastes amazing.

Ingredients

  • 200ml apple juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp whole allspice
  • 1 mace blade
  • 2 whole cloves
  • Small strip fresh ginger
  • 1 clementine, zest finely peeled with a vegetable peeler
  • 100g golden caster sugar

(1) Heat up all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

(2) Remove from heat and leave to cool, before straining it into small glasses

Alcohol-free Amaretto Sour

This sharp yet sweet mocktail is a festive nutty delight

Ingredients

  • 100ml pineapple juice
  • 50ml lemon juice
  • 1/2 egg white
  • 10ml syrup from cocktail cherries
  • A few drops of almond extract
  • Cherries to serve

(1) Put the almond extract, cherry syrup, egg white, lemon juice and pineapple juice into a blender and mix the mixture a couple times at full speed until it’s pale. You can also add some ice if you’d like.

(2) Put the mixture into glass and garnish with the cherries.

Christmas Punch

This alcohol-free Christmas punch is perfect for parties, especially for family gatherings with kids.

Ingredients

  • 2 sliced pears
  • 2 lemons (1 sliced, 1 juiced)
  • 2 tbsp caster sugar
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 400ml white grape juice
  • 275ml ginger ale
  • 500ml sparling water
  • Ice
  • Handful pomegranate seeds
  • Rosemary sprigs to serve

(1) Add the pear and lemon slices, caster sugar and mixed spice in punch bowl and chill for up to an hour

(2) Stir the mixture while adding the lemon juice and grape juice. Keep stirring until the caster sugar has dissolved.

(3) Pout the ginger ale and sparkling water into the mixture, adding in you ice.

(4) Add in the pomegranate seeds and a couple sprigs of rosemary and you’re ready to serve.

Passionfruit and Elderflower Spritz

This mocktail is one of the fancier ones, perfect for Christmas parties and very easy to make. A very festive fizzy fruity drink!

Ingredients

  • 50ml passionfruit juice
  • 25ml lemon juice
  • 2 tsp elderflower cordial
  • 150ml sparkling water
  • 1 tsp passionfruit seeds to serve

(1) For the best taste, chill the ingredients and the glass before starting.

(2) Pour all the passionfruit juice, lemon juice, elderflower juice and sparkling water into your glass and stir gently.

(3) Add a few passionfruit seeds for garnish and you’re ready to serve.

Mulled “Wine” Tea

A perfect festive drink to warm you up this Christmas. Not your average night time tea!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp dried rose petals
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 handfuls frozen mixed berries
  • 1 tsp cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 orange, quartered
  • 1 green tea bag

(1) Add the rose petals, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, frozen mixed berries, cranberry sauce and orange to a large saucepan, along with a litre of water

(2) Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally

(3) Take off the heat and drop in the green tea bag and leave for 2-3 minutes

(4) Strain the mixture and pour into a heatproof jug and serve warm
