Plans to bring water-based activities to Cosmeston Lakes are underway as the Vale of Glamorgan Council invites bids from organisations.

Whilst no specific sports have been mentioned, it is hoped that padel-boards and pedalo rental will be seen at the attraction.

The Council are also looking for an organisation to facilitate current user groups and undertake the management of all lake bookings. They said: “This is an opportunity for dynamic, forward thinking and innovative organisations to provide water based activities/events at an outstanding and popular tourist attraction within the Vale of Glamorgan.”

The deadline for submitting bids is August 4th at 12pm.

The selected bidder will then be based at East Lake between 1st March and 30th November annually.
