Concept Players return with a Stephen Sondheim classic.

Concept Players make their long awaited return to Penarth with their first full musical following the pandemic with one of Stephen Sondheim’s most critically acclaimed shows ‘Into the Woods;.

In this reimagined production, Dr G.S.S Zipprodt’s Marvellous Caravan invites you to behold the most exciting, magical and terrible of tales. With stories of wolves, witches, ghosts and giants to both entertain and dismay you!

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

Concept Players are known for their imaginative designs and this production will be no different, with fabulous costumes and a twist on some of your favourite fairytale characters, this is a night at the theatre not to be missed!

Into the Woods runs from the 14th to the 17th of September at the Pagent Rooms, Victoria Road, Penarth. Performances start at 7:30pm (Doors open at 7pm).
