Free Penarth music festival on the look-out for sponsors

Penarth’s Music in the Park, organised by Friends of Belle Vue is one of the highlights of the town’s cultural calendar.

Last year over 2,000 attendees enjoyed an afternoon of free music in the sun. It’s a family-friendly event (no alcohol and plenty of fun for children) so lots of families attend.

As the festival grows, it does unfortunately become more expensive to run. The organisers are looking for local businesses to sponsor this year’s event.

Past success stories from sponsorship

Anne Keeling, Vice Chair of Friends of Belle Vue tells us:

We’ve had a great range of sponsors in the last couple of years including many small, Penarth-based businesses who have the chance for affordable sponsorship that gives them visibility to many Penarth locals at a popular, free, community event which generates lots of goodwill. Last year, Taylor Made Travel sponsored the band tent, Masons Moving Group sponsored us and followed the event throughout the afternoon on social media, Penarth Property Presentation and Maintenance said it was one of the best events they had ever supported, and small successful businesses in Penarth like IT Pie have been regular sponsors for several years.

Sponsorship of Music in the Park means that Friends of Belle Vue can continue to make the event a free event for everyone. Sponsorship covers many of the outgoing costs including sound, insurance, staging, security, toilets, rubbish removal and clean-up, drum hire and band supplies, and more.

Sponsors get the chance to have their company name, information and brand in the programme, on banners around the park (for main sponsors), featured on Belle Vue Park’s popular Facebook page and Twitter, featured with links on the Belle Vue Park website.

All bands give their time free to perform at Music in the Park and all organisation and support by Friends of Belle Vue is voluntary.

How much does it cost to stage Music in the Park?

Friends of Belle Vue Park need £3,500 to cover all basic costs for Music in the Park. A range of affordable sponsorships, from £50 to £600 are available to help cover this cost.
